September 10 to 18 - Transylvania & Bucovina

Participants will see dozens of rare Romanian flatwaves and almost 300 Ottoman rugs from late 15th to 18th century, in the Lutheran Churches and the Museums of the region, including examples in the store-rooms.

We will visit the most interesting places in Bucharest and Transylvania: art museums, fortified churches, Orthodox monasteries, Royal palaces, medieval castles and pristine nature in the Carpathians. We will also have a chance to meet Lutheran pastors, Orthodox priests, art collectors, museum curators, scholars and restores.

The tour includes the visit to the best preserved monasteries in Bucovina.

Overseas participants are are encouraged to fly through ROME (which has very good  connections with US and also with Bucharest); they will be fully assisted to organise an enchanting journey in Rome; but remeber that  Florence and Naples (Capri, Pompei, Sorrento, Amalfi)  are just 2,5 hours from the Eternal City.
