{"id":2317,"date":"2013-10-21T18:39:40","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T17:39:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.transylvanianrugs.com\/?p=2317"},"modified":"2013-10-21T19:11:45","modified_gmt":"2013-10-21T18:11:45","slug":"anatolian-rugs-exhibited-at-the-national-museum-of-gdansk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transylvanianrugs.com\/?p=2317","title":{"rendered":"Anatolian rugs exhibited at the National Museum of Gda\u0144sk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>24 highly important\u00a0 Anatolian rugs from the Brukenthal Museum, Sibiu will be on display at the National Museum of Gda\u0144sk from 16th November, 2013 to 16th February, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>It is the first time after Budapest 1914 that all the best examples (dating from early 16th to mid-18th century) of the leading museum in Transylvania will be again on display: &#8216;Holbein&#8217;, &#8216;Lotto&#8217;, white-ground Ushaks and a wealth of &#8216;Transylvanian&#8217; rugs.<\/p>\n<p>The opening ceremony will be <strong>Saturday 16th November<\/strong>, 2013 at 6 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, 17th November at 11 there will be a guided visit of the exhibition followed by a lecture held by Stefano Ionescu.<\/p>\n<p>For those who love classical carpets I think is a &#8220;once in the century&#8221; event!
